Parents of children at Lester B. Pearson Public School are actively involved in various committees/subcommittees at the school. This could be politically via the LBP School Council or extra-curricularly via the various subcommittees of the LBP School Supporters' Association (SSA).

The School Supporters' Association (SSA) is a parent volunteer organization that endeavors to enhance the academic, athletic and cultural experience of all LBP students. It is made up of several very active subcommittees each with specific tasks to accomplish our underlying goal.
The SSA undertakes various Fund Raising activities during the Year which include the Friends and Family Magazine Subscription Fund Raiser, the Pizza Lunch programme and the Loonie Draw at the SSA June Family Picnic. Annually, with the approval of the SSA General Membership and input from the LBP staff, the SSA allocates funds raised to finance a wide variety of activities and items not provided for in the School Budget. These include:
Parent-led and teacher-led extra-curricular athletic, cultural and academic activities in the school
Enhancing the technology in the school (computers, printers, speakers)
Creating an attractive playground setting
Enriched school curriculum by acquiring experts on various topics to speak to the students
The SSA also produces a monthly Parent Bulletin, works directly with LBP staff and students on the production of the School Yearbook and provides Information Folders each year to Grade One and new Families at Lester B Pearson.
